About this Merida Extrema Electro-Acoustic Guitar

Merida are a new brand to us but we’re really impressed with this beautiful looking and uniquely mellow sounding grand auditoritum electro-acoustic guitar.

The solid cedar top is nicely finished in high gloss lacquer which neatly brings out its beautiful caramel colour. This  pairs with gorgeous spalted maple back/sides for a sweet and clear tone with a mellow top end and plenty of volume. The cutaway gives easy access to the higher frets. There’s also a slim profile mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard and ultra jumbo frets for clear notes with minimal pressure.

If you are thinking of getting up on stage then you’ll love the Fishman Isys preamp system which has a built-in tuner and volume and tone controls as well as a handy feedback busting phase switch. In terms of hardware, this is an impressively well-specced guitar. The neck is equipped with a bi-flex truss rod, the nut and saddle are Graphtech Black Tusq which gives great sustain and the headstock is adorned with attractive and reliable gold locking tuners. All in all this is a really impressive guitar at a really great price!

This guitar has been very lightly played but is generally in great condition aside from a few very minor cosmetic bumps and scrapes. There is a very small chip to the front near the bridge, a small chip to the headstock and some minor fret wear at the lower end of the board.
