ABOUT THIS ASHDOWN 5W AMP HEAD AND CABINET COMBO
The Ashdown SX-5 head and SX-112F cabinet form a compact, valve mini-stack which delivers authentic tube tone in a portable package!
Powered by an ECC83 preamp tube and an EL84 power tube, the 5-watt SX-5 head provides rich harmonics, expressive dynamics, and warm overdrive ideal for studio work, toneful practice and selective gigs.
It pairs seamlessly with the 16ohm closed-back SX-112F cabinet, which is a sturdy ply construction with single 12-inch Celestion 70/80 speaker for punchy lows, clear mids, and excellent tonal balance.
This half-stack setup combines classic brit-style valve warmth with modern reliability and gig-ready construction.
It really sings and looks amazing, so call in for a test-play between 11 – 5:30 Wednesday to Saturday.
